K is for “Kept in the Dark” by Anthony Trollope. I read this book back in 1998 so I had to go to Google to refresh my mind. This is not one of Trollope’s better known books but any Trollope book has to be a winner with me.
The story is about a young married couple in the late 1800’s who break up when the husband realizes she had been engaged before. They are brought back together by a family member and all ends well. It is not of the quality of the Barchester series but if you like well written books set in 19th century England, you will probably find it a good light read.
